Privacy policy

Updated October 15, 2026. In short: I only process the information you send me, and I use it to reply to you. This site has no tracking or marketing cookies.

This policy covers the website joshuamoorrees.com and contacts made through it.

2. What data I process and why

Contacts. When you contact me by phone, email, WhatsApp, or LinkedIn, I process the information you provide: your name, contact details, organization, and the content of your message. I use it to reply to you and to prepare for possible collaboration.

Technical operation of the site. The site's hosting provider, Webflow, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information to display the site to you and protect it from misuse.

Visitor statistics. I measure site usage with Plausible Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn't store IP addresses. I only see aggregate figures, such as page views and which websites visitors come from. I can't identify individual visitors.

I don't make automated decisions based on your data, and I don't profile anyone.

3. Legal basis for processing

Processing data from contacts is based on my legitimate interest in replying to messages sent to me and managing professional relationships, and, where relevant, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(f) and (b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation).

Technical processing and visitor statistics are based on my legitimate interest in keeping the site functional and secure, and in developing it (Article 6(1)(f)).

4. Service providers and data transfers

  • Webflow, Inc. (United States) hosts the site. Data transfers to the United States are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia) provides the visitor statistics. Data is processed entirely within the EU.
  • Microsoft provides the email service. Emails are stored in More Than Group's Microsoft 365 service.
  • WhatsApp and LinkedIn process messages under their own privacy policies if you contact me through them.

I don't sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.

5. Retention period

I keep data from contacts for as long as our conversation or collaboration is ongoing. Otherwise, I delete it no later than two years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer retention.

Visitor statistics are aggregate figures that can't be used to identify anyone.

6. Cookies

This site uses no analytics, tracking, or marketing cookies, so no cookie banner is needed. The hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies to keep the site functional and secure.

When you follow a link to another service, such as LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or More Than Group's website, that service's own privacy and cookie policies apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • know what data I process about you and receive a copy of it
  • request the correction of inaccurate data
  • request the erasure of your data
  • request the restriction of processing
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • receive the data you've provided in a portable format when processing is based on a contract.

If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).

8. Changes

I'll update this policy if the way I process data changes. The current version is always on this page, and the date of the latest update is shown at the top.
